We continue to work with ARC, supporting projects within their growing portfolio of innovation-ready and new space across Oxfordshire.
4050 Oxford Business Park is a prominent detached office building arranged over two floors, which after refurbishment and repurposing, has been selected by the Ivy Farm to house their breakthrough food tech and pilot manufacturing plant for cultivated meat.
Following the execution of a tailormade brief, 4050 Oxford Business Park provides 18,000 square feet of office and CL2 wet lab space ideal for all Ivy Farm’s R&D activities.
We were engaged to carry out the upgrading of the envelope to the existing masonry office building, giving the building an impressive external makeover.
We upgraded the insulation to the roof and replaced all felt, batten and roof tiles as well as all existing external windows and doors. Together with overcladding of the masonry elevations with a mixture of zinc and aluminium cladding and replacement of rainwater goods, we created a new entrance canopy and added signage to the front elevation.
Our work included reconfiguration of the parking bays, new paving, and landscaping together with the addition of lighting bollards.
Sustainable elements include a barn owl nesting box which was made and installed from construction timber and plywood waste. The project also benefitted from addition of EV chargers and new PV panels.
Working within tight timescales, we successfully delivered our scope to our client’s highest standards, ensuring that the terms of letting agreement could be met.
