Corporate Social Responsibility
Our impact goes beyond our projects, we are committed to driving social value through all that we do. This is embedded in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
We recognise that our business has an effect on the communities and environment in which we operate. We are committed to operating in a socially responsible manner, supporting a number of local communities and social / charitable causes, as well as running our operations in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Environmental
We work with our clients and wider design teams to ensure that the construction of our projects are carried out in the most environmentally friendly manner possible.
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and work closely with clients and our supply chain to reduce carbon emissions on our projects as much as possible. This commitment has also extended across to our fleet of vehicles which are now hybrid and electric cars and vans.
We place emphasis on waste management and waste reduction, which includes giving greater consideration when choosing the materials used and how we plan to recycle them. We currently reuse and recycle 96% of our materials on site.
Sustainable materials procurement forms a key part of our environmental management approach.
Social Value
People are at the heart of our company and of the communities we serve.
Working across a broad range of sectors enables us to deliver opportunities across a diverse range of communities. We understand the importance of delivering meaningful employment and training opportunities. Engaging with the future generation is of great importance and we actively promote STEM opportunities and careers within construction. We welcome the next generation talent on our sites and deliver practical workshops run by our in-house specialists.
We are proud to support charities including our charity partner No5 who provide counselling services to young people within the RG postcode. Our fundraising activities range from cycling from our offices in Thatcham to Paris, our annual golf day and many smaller events. In 2024, through our ‘Around the World Challenge’, we will be fundraising for No5 again!
Supply Chain
Our supply chain partners are crucial to our success and to that of our projects.
We ensure that our supply chain is managed effectively with a focus on prompt payment, preparing the workforce of the future and utilising a local supply chain where possible.
