Eton College

We were appointed by Eton College to deliver refurbishment of ablution provisions across all floors at historic Walpole and Warre Boarding Houses at Eton College – these two buildings are boarding houses providing accommodation for boys. The project is part of annual rolling refurbishment scheme carried out by Eton to maintain the standards of their boarding houses.

The works started with asbestos removal works necessary to allow alteration to layouts and the mechanical and electrical provisions. A full strip out of the existing rooms before new shower pods, flooring, ceilings, whiterock wall covering and IPS panelling and cubicles before the final showers and sanitaryware was installed.

The boarding houses were unoccupied by pupils during the summer period however staff remained in situ and occupied separate flats across the two buildings. Eton is also an open public area that is busy with tourists This meant maintaining services and maintaining access and managing deliveries.

This project was time critical and delivered on time with students returning to board at the college in September at the start of term.
