Soha Housing Ltd

Following the demolition and clearance of the existing structures on the site, this housing development, on behalf of Soha Housing Ltd (Soha), comprised the design and build of a residential scheme to provide four semi-detached houses with garaging for open market sale, together with 12 apartments for affordable rent.

The self-contained flats, constructed across three floors, provide comfortable and spacious 1- and 2-bed accommodation for over-55s, complete with a communal lounge and kitchen. The ground floor provides a scooter store together with a lift service to the apartments.

Sustainability features. Energy-efficient lighting, water consumption and controllable ventilation throughout ensures an integrated degree of energy efficiency to the building. Locally-sourced materials have been chosen to be sympathetic to those found within the area.

The luxury 5-bed semi-detached houses feature tiled roofing, high-performance casement windows and cast stone string courses and window surrounds. Externally, high quality hard and soft landscaping complete the overall scheme layout, providing an attractive and useable amenity.

The scheme achieved a ‘Good’ Considerate Construction Scheme rating across the programme.
