Francis Construction - committed to the Building Mental Health Charter

Today (10th October) marks World Mental Health Day, and Francis Construction has pledged its support by signing up to The Building Mental Health Charter - a national initiative to support the drive to tackle the stigma surrounding mental health in the construction workplace.

In the UK, mental ill-health is the leading cause of sickness, costing an average of £1,035 per employee per year and 48% of those who cited one or other form of mental illness said they would not talk to their employer about it.

Run by Considerate Constructors and Lighthouse Club ( a charity providing support to the construction community), the aim is to raise awareness across the industry and offer professional support.
