A listed building conversion of old stables, barns and flats to provide 12 suites of superior wedding accommodation, meeting rooms, lounges, service areas, for the newly converted Castle Barn wedding venue at Wasing Estate.

The works involved a fast track approach, with details being finalised as demolition work started, to maintain a tight deadline for the first pre booked wedding party. Francis worked closely with the Cost Consultants to finalize trade packages within budget. Major structural alterations, new floors, sound and fire proofing were required, along with insulation and new staircases. New heating, plumbing, electrical and sanitary ware installations were essential to provide facilities to a high standard. The heating is powered by a Bio-Mass boiler using waste wood from the estate, sustainable resources were used in the construction where possible.

A high quality fit out was completed including light fittings, ceramic wall and floor tiling, carpeting, furnishing and fittings, some sourced from Bali. New windows and doors were made to compliment those existing, in our own Joinery shop. External works involved new drainage, courtyards were repaved and roads were gravelled. The project was delivered on time and to budget.
