A development of twenty flats some providing accommodation for disadvantaged young people, by the local housing association. The construction was largely traditional utilising brick and block load bearing walls on strip foundations with pre-cast concrete floors and stairs. The roof was trussed rafters with covering of grey cement fibre slates. Internally the flats were fully fitted with kitchens, shower rooms and study bedrooms.
Sustainable construction materials and energy saving systems were extensively used and the scheme value engineered by Francis Construction to maintain strict budgetary constraints.
The scheme was completed with landscaped areas, paths, parking and roads.
