Hambridge Road, Newbury

A speculative development of 11 no business and production units situated in the commercial area of Newbury. Construction involved short-bored piling to both foundations and ground floor slabs on a site that had been a land filled gravel pit. A traditional steel frame was used for economy and speed, with cladding in brick cavity walling and insulated metal sheeting.
Interiors had office and toilet areas, with upper floors in some units, which were progressively finished to tenants requirements. External concrete hardstandings were laid on consolidated ground and car parking was formed in concrete block paving.
