A phased development of a new build Dental Surgery, followed by an enlargement of the pharmacy and formation of G.P. Surgery Units. The Dental Surgery had high levels of natural lighting with all the special services and finishes required of a 'state of the art' surgery. Buildings were steel framed with pre-cast concrete floors, allowing future flexibility of layout. External elevations, featured covered colonnades, curved curtain walling / windows on the west elevation, with extensive use of cedar board wall cladding, giving with the insulated block backing high levels of insulation and energy saving properties. Roofing is by means of local pattern orange pan tiles. Great care was required in joining the two- phase areas together whilst maintaining both practices.
