Harrow, Middlesex
View map | Street view

A new neighbourhood resource centre for the London Borough of Harrow, replacing outdated facilities on an existing site. The building is part of the Borough's Leisure Complex area and easily accessed by special bus routes.

The building rests on piled foundations and is of traditional Brick/Block cavity wall construction, with some parts having steel beams. The upper floor is constructed on a steel frame with pre-cast concrete plank floors. Roof trusses are in engineered timber and the roof covered in insulated metal sheeting.Extensive parking areas have been formed with landscaped garden areas, internally the building is laid out with Consulting Rooms, Treatment Rooms, Nursery, Community Hall and Meeting Rooms for Community Groups.

Services have been designed to provide the highest levels of sustainability and energy saving, with high levels of insulation in the roof, walls and glazing. Sun-shading is provided to main elevations.

The building will provide much needed medical and community health facilities for Harrow and surrounding areas.
